The MCR Safety Headgear with Face Shield is designed to provide reliable face and eye protection in environments with light impact hazards, small metal chips, particles, and sparks. While the face shield adds an extra layer of defense, it is recommended to wear safety glasses underneath for comprehensive eye safety. The headgear is constructed from durable ABS plastic resin, with a crown made of nylon 66 and a 4-inch sparkguard crafted from HDPE plastic, ensuring excellent impact resistance and protection from flying debris. For comfort, it features a large, easy-to-adjust ratchet handle that can be operated even with gloves on, along with a washable cotton sweatband for improved fit and long-term durability. The adjustable headband accommodates hat sizes from 6 1/2 to 7 3/4 (20.5” to 24.3/8”), making it suitable for various users. Additionally, the 5-system cam lock enhances impact resistance, while the headgear is compatible with most universally punched face shield windows. The face shield itself is made from clear polycarbonate, measuring 8” x 15.5” with a 0.040-inch thickness, offering maximum visibility and impact protection. It comes with a blue protective wrap that should be removed before installation and use. This product meets or exceeds the ANSI Z87.1-2015 safety standards, ensuring high-quality protection in demanding work environments.
