Description, Specification and Other Information
The Harvik Firefighter Boots 9679 NFPA are designed to provide superior foot protection for firefighters operating in extreme conditions. Compliant with NFPA 1971: 2007 Protective Footwear for Structural Fire Fighting, these boots ensure the highest standards of safety. They feature Grade 1 toe protection, penetration resistance, and can withstand up to 18 kV of Electric Shock Resistance (ESR), offering robust defense against electrical hazards. Constructed with a durable vulcanized rubber upper and sole, these boots are available in black and yellow for enhanced visibility.
The lining material includes a non-woven Polyaramid textile known for excellent flame-retardant properties, providing extra heat insulation and comfort with a soft-fitting interior. The upper construction is flame-retardant with reinforced rubber for added durability, ensuring waterproof performance and high visibility. The sole and heel are crafted from fuel oil-resistant, slip-resistant vulcanized rubber, offering exceptional abrasion resistance for long-lasting durability. They are designed to withstand 18 kV of live current in dry conditions and include a triple ribbed ladder shank for enhanced midfoot stability and support.
For added safety, the boots have a non-corrosive stainless steel midsole that resists punctures from sharp objects, and an epoxy-coated steel toe cap that meets CSA Z195-09 impact and ASTM F2413-11 compression standards, providing reliable protection in both cold and hot environments. Additionally, the boots are chemical resistant, with both the sole and upper designed to withstand mild acids and alkalis. A lacquer coating offers extra weather protection, making these boots a top choice for structural firefighting, general fire rescue, and bushfire operations.
